Spring is finally here and to prove it I've attached a selection of spring themed images from our garden and allotment - just to prove again that it is in fact spring! :-)
I'm very proud of this little Hellebore, which for several years has struggled to grow let alone flower under the weight of snow and ice and then the downpour of rain with no sunshine but, this year it flowered beautifully - the saying "good things come to those who wait" is wholly appropriate in this case.
We have a lot to do this year to ensure we have enough vegetables to last us throughout the year especially as I stopped eating meat in February.
This is the plot at the moment - stark, muddy and not much going on...
but a few things are starting to show their heads
Some friends of ours have also managed to acquire a plot quite near us on the same site, so with their son they will working their plot into something quite spectacular by the end of the year, no pressure! ;-)
