It's almost Spring

We've been procrastinating too long and decided to make the leap whilst good dry weather was forecast and dig over some beds.

A bed was dug over, swept the oak leaves into the compost bins, chopped the Jerusalem Artichoke and cleared it's fallen stems (front right of picture), finally pruned behind the compost bins and tidied up the ivy growth from last year.

Finally, to close with some spring cheer - here is a photograph of the first flower of our 10year old Hellbore patch at home - it took 5 years to get going but hasn't disappointed since!
