Finally, we seem to have caught up with the major spring cleaning and dug over most of the plot bar a couple of previously “setaside” areas for BBQ and “another time” - this is the most organised and productive we’ve been since 2007 and its only March, yay!
Over the last two weeks we’ve planted Shallots:

Some early potatoes (Osprey) given to me by my work colleague Jackie, thank you Jackie! (to be clear you are looking at a planted potato mound not a grave):
And set about weeding, filling and designing the fruit cage:
After all our hard work winter has provided us with some very tasty leeks, I made a lovely gratin with leeks, potatoes, onions and extra mature Lakeland cheese (my mother will approve):
