We have had our fist harvest of new potatoes (Pentland Javeline), enjoyed boiled with some butter - Scrumptious! You forget over the winter months just how dry and powdery supermarket potatoes are in general, maybe in a few years time they’ll have developed a winter growing potato we can all enjoy!
We managed to acquire several of these clear tubes which make ideal “nursery tubes” for young plants that require some support from slug and snail attacks. Sweetcorn is being "supported" here.
The famous Gigantellas’ are growing, slowing resembling strawberries:
The last picture shows a red Lily (both have come up, only one pictured), these were a last season purchase for 40p! They were a pretty contrast to the wind and rain on Sunday morning so decided to take a picture.
