The picture above shows the plot in its current form - lifeless. However, there are lots of things going on below the surface. When raking over the lawn in preparation for cutting last weekend we heard scurrying noises, so we raked across the lawn in straight lines giving whoever was living under the fallen grass time to gather belongings and move out - we felt terrible and decided to cut back the large brambles around the pond and re-trained them along the wall behind the lawn, giving whoever had to move out other options to move into...although I think "they've" moved in under the pampas grass (pictured) and will be safe under there.
