A sunny weekend all around, we managed to spend some time here on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week - rare for a weekend, predictably normality has returned and today its raining! Some pictures below taken from the plants in the flower garden, spring colour...
We planted the first of the Summer salads (below) Lettuces - Iceberg, Suza and Mixed leaf, Radishes - Round and French Breakfast, some spring onions and celery (grown for leaves).
All the beans are in the ground, planted some Berlotti beans on Sunday to go with the others that have some damage last week, I believe frost related injuries although I’ve been fooled before and turned out to be pigeons.
We've weeded the top part of the fruit cage, just the left hand side remains, next week we'll move the raspberries to their new home.
The most exciting news this week is that of our pond life - We have frogspawn! Last year we acquired some from a neighbours pond after one of our resident frogs failed to return however, this year we’re full...click on images to see the larger versions with ball of spawn :-)
