Raspberry fields

Raspberries - Autumn Bliss
At the moment we're enjoying weekly harvests of Raspberries, in fact young plants are popping up all over the plot.  These are the most reliable variety I've ever grown.  They've been accidentally killed by my neighbour spraying pesticides (which we don't do on our plot!), only to reappear the following year as new (smaller) but still healthy plants...4 years on this is the result, 4 rows of healthy voracious plants!

Several weeks ago we mentioned the lack of beans, something as simple and easy to grow as runner beans became as complex as growing roses from seed (if you know you'll understand!) but we continued to plant them (the pack expires this year) at regular intervals hopeful of a bumper crop  at least.

Look at them today - healthy and most importantly alive though they haven't produced any beans yet, we're still hopeful.

Just peeping in on the right hand side of the picture is our wonderful courgette, so far he's produced 3 reasonably sized fruits.

And we have kohlrabi again (pictures above Red and Green) we will be eating these in a weeks time! :-)
